Gail Burns, 57, of Bristol, beloved wife of Douglas Burns, died Wednesday, June 30, 2008, at Bristol Hospital.
She was born November 16, 1950 in Bristol, daughter of Albert Laurendeau of Terryville and the late Rita (Proulx) Laurendeau. A lifelong resident of Bristol, Gail was the manager of Radiologic Associates and Bristol Radiology Center for many years. She was very active in the radiology field having held a U.S. patent. She was previously employed at Bristol Hospital and active with the American Cancer Society. Gail loved to go motorcycling and fishing with her husband, Doug, and also loved gardening and relaxing in the back yard by the pool.
Besides her husband, Doug, and her father, Albert, she is also survived by her son, Danal Hein of Raleigh, NC; her two step-children, Kristin Goodwin and her husband, John, and their children, Jessica and Taylor of Bristol; and Colleen Burns of Burlington; her sisters and brother, June Laurendeau of Terryville, Gene Laurendeau Of Trenton, FL, Donna Thomasen of Plainville; Nancy Madore of Bristol, Eileen Lemelin of Belgrade, ME, and Alison Laurendeau of Bristol; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
