Gaetana G. “Tina” Post , 83 of Humboldt, died August 24, 2010 at the South Care Center in Humboldt. Gaetana G. (Carrubba) Post, the daugher of Alfred and Luisa (Leone) Carrubba was born August 2, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois where she was raised and received her education. Tina worked at Sears and Roebuck in Chicago for nine years before her marriage to Raymond Post on May 24, 1953. The couple lived and farmed in rural Gilmore City at which time Tina worked at Lockes Jewelry in Humboldt. Ray and Tina moved to Humboldt in 1986. Survivors include her husband Raymond of Humboldt, IA, children: Karen ( John III) Finical of Tama, IA, Rickey Post of Humboldt, IA, and Allison (Steven) Ripperger of Fort Dodge, Ia, grandchildren: John IV (Kristen) and Michelle Finical, Erica and Katelyn Post, Andrea (Adam) Laubenthal and Audra Marvin, great grandchildren: Ella and John Finical V. Tina was a member of First Lutheran Church in Gilmore City and attended and was active at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Humboldt. She was a member of the We weaver’s club, and loved crafts, traveling and playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Jennie Post, brothers Frank and Joseph Carrubba. Tina had been a resident at South Care Center since 2007.
