Gaetano “Guy” Miranda, 93, of 44 Maplevale Road, East Haven passed away Oct. 20, 2013 in YaleNew HavenHospital. He was the devoted husband of the late Clara Conte Miranda. Born in New Haven on Nov. 22, 1919, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Florence Muro Miranda. He was a super salesman for Cott Beverages for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1962. He served a member of the RTM in East Haven for 24 years. He was a staff sergeant in the US Army during World War II and was a member of Chapter 2, DAV. He is survived by one daughter, Florence Gail (Al) Williamson of East Haven; three sons, Pasquale F. (Maryann) Miranda of San Diego, CA., Robert F. (Linda) Miranda of Valencia, CA. and Richard J. (Kathy) Miranda of Hamden; 7 grandchildren, Melissa (Eric) McDonald, Joseph (Nicolle) Barraco, Lisa (Paul) Intravia, Miranda Baracco, Elizabeth (Frank) DiFonzo, Maria and Clare Miranda; 7 great grandchildren, Luca & Natalie Intravia, Anthony & Johnny Miranda, Dominic DiFonzo, Nathan & Asher McDonald. He was predeceased by one brother, Joseph D. Miranda and two sisters, Connie “Peachie” DeLucia and Natalie DeLuca.
