Gabriel Reyes Mendez, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 30, 2018, at his home. He was under the care of his family and Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
Gabriel was born July 30, 1927, in Mexico City, D.F., Mexico, to Maria Mendez. He attended schools in Mexico.
He met his beloved wife, Mary Falk, while she was working as a missionary nurse in Mexico. They were married May 20, 1954, in Chihuahua, Mexico. They moved to Canada and finally to the United States in 1961. Together they worked as missionaries serving among the Spanish speaking people. Gabriel pastored in Idaho, Washington and California.
