Gabriel Lucas Quezada, 36, a lifelong Puebloan passed away on Oct. 13, 2022.  He was born on Nov. 27, 1985.

When he was about 6 months old, he and his parents were traveling back from New Mexico. They ran into a sand storm making the road impossible to see, and a multiple car pileup.  Multiple nurses stated that he was flirting with them as he flashed that dimple and pink gums. He knew he was going to be a ladies’ man at such a young age, and he was.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ernest and Beatrice Alcon; and John Arizaga.

Gabriel graduated from County High School. In his spare time he loved to fish. Just like any fisherman, he would come home with stories of the monsters he caught. He would say, “Broke the line before I could land them”. He did have proof here and there. Even though he didn’t get to go as much as he liked; he had a passion for hunting. He also enjoyed attending as many Denver Broncos’ games as he could. If he wasn’t at the game, you could be sure that he was at one of his buddies’ houses.

Gabriel was a jack of all trades. In his short life he had several different jobs which taught him skills that he later applied to side jobs. He loved working so much to the point that his dad would often have to tell him to relax and take it easy. “Can’t be all work and no play”!  Whether it was work or play, Gabriel gave 100%. He was a perfectionist and made sure that every job was done right.

He loved hanging out with his friends and family. Gabriel had a nickname for everyone he knew including his family. He would call Dad (Oldie or Old for short), Jess (Sister Guin/Jeka as a child he couldn’t pronounce Jessica), and Davey (Dookie). If you knew Gabe most likely you had a nickname too whether you liked it or not.

Late nights he would stay up playing Call of Duty with his brother. He had so much love for his friends and family, and he made sure that you knew it.

Gabriel is survived by his parents, Manuel and Brenda (Alcon) Quezada; siblings Jessica Quezada and Davey Baca; grandmother, Beatriz Arizaga; special friend, Michelle Sanchez; niece, Avery Jude Ortega Baca; godparents, Rick and Nancy Ortiz; four-legged companions Mason, Ruger and Rossi; and family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Gabriel was beautiful person, they say only the good die young, His beautiful smile will not be forgotten, and he will be greatly missed. We LOVE YOU GABE!!
