G. “Ruth” Donovan, AKA Little Spitfire, age 89 of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Beth Israel, Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. She was the daughter of the late George and Ruth (Sutton) Galindo. Born on October 8, 1929 in New York City, she was raised in the “Hell’s Kitchen”. Her first job was at the National Screen Company, where she worked on movie screenings. Ruth worked as an underwriter for Kemper Insurance Company and Arbella Insurance Company, both in Quincy. She enjoyed camping and loved to dance. She was the mother of the Janet O’Connor and her husband Jack of Plymouth, Susan Donovan of Whitman and the late Denise Perry and Daniel Donovan She also leaves her grandchildren, Tracey Jones, Janece Boudreau, Ryan O’Connor, Joleen Perry and Joshua Daniels, great grandchildren, Derrik, Soliel, Daisy, Maverick, Gregory, Asata, Mason, Joseph, and Joshua, as well as her dear cat, Missy.
