Frieda Lorine Buckner, age 80, of Greenwood, IN passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016, at Community South Hospital of Indianapolis.
She was born July 11, 1935, the daughter of Samuel Carson and Edna Mont (Hacker) Young in Dolan, IN.
Frieda worked as an office manager for an Ft. Lauderdale, Florida law firm until retiring. While in Bloomington she worked for Monroe County Community School Corporation for 15 years. She enjoyed spending her free time cooking for her friends and family. She was a past member of Lambda Chi Omega social sorority.
Frieda is survived by her son, Jeff (Barbara) Buckner of Bloomington, sister, Wilma Pelley of Bloomington, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Larry Moore Buckner, daughter, Nancy Markovic, brother, Chester Young and sister, Lucille Gilliland.
