Frieda Louise Strain was born September 5, 1926 in Evanston, IL. Her parents were Joseph and Louise (Brucker) Rossmanith. She died July 11, 2012. In 1933 her family moved form Evanston to Barkley Township.
She graduated from Rensselaer Central High School in 1943, and then graduated from International Business College in Fort Wayne, IN. She married Winfred Leon Strain in Fort Wayne on August 13, 1945. He died October 12, 1999.
She worked in the business office at Saint Joseph’s College for 26 years and was a Fellow of the college. She was also a charter member of the SJC Federal Credit Union and was their treasurer for a number of years.
In 1969 she helped form the Wall Street Ladies Investment Club and was their treasurer until the club dissolved in 2004. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and was the treasurer there for 13 years.
She is survived by her children Nancy Crouse and David Strain. Sister Elsie Brukhert. Brothers Victor, Walter, Fred Rossmanith. Three Grandchildren, Two Great-Grandchildren and sisters-in-law Marceline Budde and Betty Strain.
