Frederick Symonds, age 85, of Edgewater died Tuesday February 8, 2022 at Ocean View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, New Smyrna Beach. Born in Liverpool, England to Edward and Mary Jokins Symonds,, Frederick came to the area in 1977 from his birthplace.
A Merchant Marine, owner of Crown Canvas with his wife, where he made and installed awnings, and a member of the Better Business Bureau of NSB. Frederick was a member of the Buffalo’s Club, Liverpool, England and enjoyed traveling and reading. He loved taking his grandson on walks and adventures.
Survivors include his daughter, Deborah (Gregory) Linn, of Ormond Beach; son, Robin (Karol) Symonds, of Edgewater; grandson, Jacob Linn, of Ormond Beach; brother, Jackie (Catherine) Symonds, of Liverpool, England. Frederick was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Catherine.
