He was born January 5, 1927 in Twelve Mile, Indiana to Everett and Catherine English Skinner. On September 27, 1945 in Twelve Mile, he was married to Wilma Gelene Bloomer, and she survives.
Fred served in the U.S. Army from May 1945 until November 1946. He was a member of the American Legion, Logansport.
Also surviving are a daughter Sue Skinner Rose, and a son Bob Skinner and wife, Christy; four grandchildren, Tammy Hicks, Vicki Stewart and husband Jason; Jennifer Skinner; and Michelle Skinner; three great-grandchildren, Marissa Hicks, Amanda and Savannah Stewart; one brother, Dale Skinner and his wife Marian; one sister, Janet Dunderman; and several nieces and nephews.
