CIA Finance Officer

Frederick P. Cavaliere, 91, of Melbourne, Florida died peacefully at his home
after a long illness on Friday, January 12,2018. Mr. Cavaliere was a native of
Uniontown, PA.

In 1951, he married Orlou Jean Sicina and left Uniontown for Washington, DC to

Paratrooper Veteran. He began his career at the Department of the Army at the
Pentagon while working towards a Bachelor’s Degree at Southeastern University in
Washington, DC. After receiving his degree, he joined the Central Intelligence
Agency and in 1955, was sent to Manila, Philippines on assignment where he spent
four years as a Finance Officer. He later served in Paris, Lima, Saigon, Okinawa, Taipei, Beirut,
and finally Bern, Switzerland. He returned to the US in 1975 to work in CIA
Headquarters in Langley, VA. His honors included the CIA Career Intelligence

the U.S. Government.

After retiring from the CIA, he worked for USATREX International as a Diplomatic

in 1995.

As well as being one of the greats of the greatest generation, Mr. Cavaliere is
also fondly remembered by friends and family for his warm and friendly
storytelling, ability to mix an exceptional vodka and tonic, and absolute
love and devotion to his wife and family. He is survived by his wife of 66
years, Orlou Jean Cavaliere, daughter Beth Arthur and her husband Greg of
Melbourne, son Marc Cavaliere and his wife Marianne of Boca Raton, and grandsons
MacKinley Arthur and Mitchell Cavaliere.
