Frederick M. Ozment, Jr. of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away on October 22, 2021 at the age of 87 following a brief illness. He was blessed to live independently to the end which was important to him. Fred was born on February 25, 1934 to Frederick M. Ozment, Sr. and Virginia J. Withrow Ozment. He was a builder at heart and worked alongside his own Dad as a young man, as well as in his own company years later as a general contractor. He also spent many years as an Operations Manager in the Foam Fabricating industry. He was proud to have served in both the Marine Corps Reserve as well as the United States Army, and equally proud to have two grandsons follow his footsteps in the Marine Corps. He married and was preceded in death by the love of his life, Willa M. “Angel” Campbell Ozment. Together they raised three daughters, Susan, Sandra, and Sherry. He was a good man, diligent provider for those he loved, and always enjoyed a spin on the dance floor with his Angel and a good glass of wine. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his spouse, Angel, and six of his sisters. He is survived by his three daughters Susan Hargis (husband, Dolph), Sandra Ozment, and Sherry Cook (husband, Chip), ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister Kara Sue, and numerous nieces and nephews who all adored their “Uncle Fred”.
