Frederick “Fred” Green, age 75, of Edgewater, Florida, and Canterbury, Connecticut, died Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Emory L. Bennett Memorial Veterans Nursing Home, Daytona Beach, Florida. Born in Norwich, Connecticut to Clifford Green, Sr. and Frances Harrison Green, Fred came to Florida in 2017 from Canterbury, CT. 

 

A United States Army veteran, he was the owner/operator of Clifford B. Green & Sons, Inc. Construction Company. He was a member of the Elk’s  and VFW. Fred was a coach in Little League and a big supporter of the Little League Foundation, Brooklyn Board of Education, Zoning and Planning Board in Brooklyn. He was not a stranger to anybody, and was a gentle and giving man. Fred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother in law and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Linda; 2 sons, Kyle (Alicia Currier) Green, of Portland, CT and Keith (Mary Ellen) Green, of Canterbury, CT; 5 grandsons, Brendan, Christopher, Cameron, Ryan, Nathan Green; granddaughter, Chloe Green; 2 brothers; 4 sisters; sister in law, Bonny (Rick Orr) Viens, of Mims, FL and brother in law, Robert (Lisa) Vickers, of Port Orange, FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
