Frederick Dandio, 88, of Featherbed Lane, Branford passed away suddenly on March 4, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Carmela Cavuoti Dandio. Mr. Dandio was born in New HavenJuly 26, 1923, son of the late Nicholas and Anna Arpaia DiAntico. He worked in the movie theater business for more than 50 years. At one time, he owned and operated The Princess Theater on Davenport Ave. in New Haven. He worked for YaleUniversity from 1979 to 1989 as manager of University Parking Facilities. He was involved in real estate development until his death. During World War II, he served with the US Navy in the Asiatic Pacific War Theater. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Gregory (Brandie) Dandio of Wolcott; a daughter, Jacqueline Dandio-Harris (Terence) of Guilford; 5 grandchildren, Thomas Frederick, Julia Marie, Alexandra Deborah Jean, Biagio Gregory and Mirella Catherine-Jessica. He was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Jean Dandio; and two sisters, Carolyn Curtiss and Anna Lucrezio.
