Freeport: Frederick A. “Fred” Niesman, 65, died July 8, 2003 at Freeport Memorial Hospital.
Born October 26, 1937 in Orangeville, IL he was the son of Alfred and Ruth (Phillips) Niesman. On October 25, 1996 he married Brenda Jensen in Freeport. Fred was a graduate from Lena Winslow High School class of 1955 and worked for Chrysler for over 30 years retiring in October of 1999. He was an avid bowler, fisherman and hunter. Surviving is his wife Brenda, one son, Jeffery (Sonya) Niesman of Ridott, one daughter, Debra (Doug) Thornton of Shannon. Two step sons, Joshua Westphal of Wyoming, August W. Hohl of Wisconsin. Five grandchildren, Christopher Niesman, Joshua Niesman, Justin Niesman, Nicholas Niesman and Amber Mae McWorthy. Three Step grandchildren, Mathew and Stacy Thornton, Miracle Slater. Two sisters, Lola (James) Stake of St. Petersburg, FL. and Joyce Raab of Lena. Two brothers, Alvin (Lois) Niesman and Ronald Niesman both of Lena and brother-in-law, Clarence Becke of Freeport.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
