DURHAM Rev. Freddie Henry Partin of 2001 So-Hi Drive passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014. Rev. Partin was a long-time pastor and radio preacher. He was a dedicated pastor of Gospel Church and Gospel Baptist Church as well as the Associate Pastor of Eastwood Baptist. He also served at Gary Street Mission.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn of 51 years as well as son, Freddie, his wife, Gayle, daughter, Deidre, her husband, Tommy, sister, Wilma Gray, her husband, Harvey (deceased) of Durham, and sister, Sylvia Partin, and husband, Jackie, of Tennessee. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Amber Farmer and husband, Craig, Brittney Courtney and husband, John, Autumn Mote, Brandon Partin, Kenneth Mote, and a deceased grandchild, John Henry Mote, as well as 3 great-grandchildren: Chloe Courtney, Jackson Farmer, and Colton Courtney.
Rev. Partin was a faithful, loving husband, a good father, granddaddy, and great-granddaddy and was known for giving a helping hand to all he could. He loved his family more that words could ever say, and his memory will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever. He has gone to a better place with no more burdens to carry. He will never be forgotten.
