Freda Jean Brown, born to Fred and May Burns in Birmingham, AL on February 11, 1932, died Sunday April 13, 2014 at her home in Edwards, MS. She was 82 years old.
She was a schoolteacher and choir director at Edwards United Methodist Church for 17 years. In the past, she was also the President of the United Methodist Women, both local and district.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Mosley. She is survived by her three daughters, Janet Brown of Edwards, MS, Gail Brown of Jackson, MS, and Sandra Brown of Edwards,MS; her sister, Bernice Turley of Baytown, TX; and one grandchild.
