Fred Langford passed away 4/21/2016 at the age of 94. Fred began his life in rural Alabama working on his fathers farm which to this day is still in operation and held by his fathers family,
one of Alabama’s oldest continuously operating farmsteads. Fred served in the Pacific in WWII as an infantryman and aircraft armament specialist during the
Okinawa offensive; Bronze Star. After the War, Fred earned his Law degree from Stetson University and joined the Air Force. He retired as a Lt. Col. after honorably serving our country in war and in peace. Fred leaves behind his loving wife of nearly 60 years of marriage, Dorothea, his children, Walter, Cynthia and Craig and his grandchildren Troy, Erik and Chelsea. Fred made made his mark on the world and his family, he taught us respect and values. He will be forever loved and remembered. Papa – We Love You!
