Fred Richards, 94 years old of Salem, WV passed away on December 5, 2009 in the good care of the WVVNF, Clarksburg, WV. Early in the 24th century Hiram and Lora Richards, Kincheloe, WV had six boys and four girls. Fred’s brothers, Edgar, Harry, Frank, Stanley and sisters Pearl, Ruth, Roxie, and Gaye and his wife June Hickman Richards were the anchors of his life and all preceded him in death. Earl Richards, Big Isaac, WV remains. Fred and June’s three children are Sandra Howell, Orlando, FL, Donna Bates, Stanardsville, VA and Gary Richards, Hampton, VA. Fred leaves and loved his three granddaughters, Lora Bates, Fairfax, VA, Bethany Bates, Stanardsville, VA and Kathryn Bates, Virginia Beach, VA.
A lifelong WV resident, a WWII Army veteran and working man for Palace Furniture Co., Culligan Co. and Alker Tire Co., Fred retired at age 70 and remained in his home on Bonnett Fork, Doddridge Co. WV until his 87th year.
Fred Richards, 1915-2009, is remembered as a quiet, good, hardworking family man who believed that God would gather him to join his family and friends once again.
