Passed away in peace at his home in the Village of Cerrillos on Friday, April 30, 2010 after a lengthy illness with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Eugenia Montoya; four brothers; and three sisters.
A graduate of St. Michael’s High School and St. Michael’s College. He was a humble man who devoted his energy to his family.
Fred is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Dora Montoya; siblings: Leroy Montoya (Yolanda), David Montoya (Dorothy), Frances Montoya (Phil), Julia Montoya, Ricky Montoya (Geraldine); loving children: Nancy Montoya, Lisa Montoya, Pat Montoya (Sylvia), Ronald Valdez, Leroy Valdez (Yvonne), Janet Romero (Chris); grandchildren: Anniken Montoya Eikseth, Adrian Eikseth, Jessica Romero, Matthew Valdez (Tara), Jennifer Romero, James Romero (Nicole), Monique Valdez, Shantelle Valdez; great grandchildren, Jacob Miller and Shylah Romero; as well as many other relatives and friends.
