Deacon Fred Johnson of Wimauma, Florida passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020.
Mr. Fred Johnson was born in Tampa, Florida to Mr. Fred and Eva Johnson. He attended public school at Old Sun City, Bethune and East Bay High School. After graduating, Deacon Johnson followed his passion of becoming a truck driver for over 40 years. Because of his love of trucking, Deacon Johnson was able to give abundantly to his community, and mentor young truckers in the community.
He accepted Christ as his Savior at a young age and was a faithful servant of Mt.
Deacon Johnson was preceded in death by: his father, Fred Johnson Sr.; his mother, Sister Eva Johnson; sister, Yvonne Deloris Johnson; and nephew, Tamburi Johnson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 32 years, Deaconess Rita Johnson; daughters, Selina Smith of Tulsa Ok, and Allene Fristad (Justin) of Riverview, FL; son, Charlie Morgan of Wimauma, FL; Grandchildren, Jivontae Morgan, Vincent Green, Promise Morgan, Isaiah Green, Arrelious Morgan, Jelina Smith, Jayla Smith, and Justin Fristad Jr.; Great-Grandchildren, Jaliyah Morgan and Janiah Morgan; sister, Shirley Rice (Robert) of Palmetto, FL; brother, Gary Slate of Wimauma, FL; sisters-in-laws, Karen Campbell of Ft. Meade, FL, and Margaret Williams of Ft. Meade, FL; brothers-in-law; Charles Campbell (Maurice) of Ft. Meade FL; special caring nephew, Christopher Johnson of Tampa FL; niece, Sonja Jones-Gay (Herman); Goddaughter, Jalissa Levins of Tampa, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
