Fred J. Ruff, 85, of Ottawa, died Thursday morning, December 27, at Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa. Mr. Ruff was born on October 22, 1922, in Ottawa to Wallace and Juanita (Brewer) Ruff. He retired from Libbey-Owens-Ford. He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII.
Mr. Ruff was a member of the Ottawa First Church of the Nazarene, Past Commander of the American Legion Post 33, and past-president of the Ottawa River Rescue Squad. He is survived by two daughters, Juanita (James) Tarrence, of Princeton, Janice (Tom) Ross, of Cambridge, two sons, Jason (Edna) and Mike (Shondra) Ruff, both of Ottawa, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Zell) Ruff, in 1974, and a granddaughter, Wendy Ross.
