Frederick H. Kingery, 91, of Ingalls, passed away Thursday June 4, 2009 at Regency Place of Greenfield. He was born on September 16, 1917 in Hancock County, Indiana to the late Frederick and Gertrude (Webber) Kingery. Fred retired from Brookside Corporation in 1982 after 13 years of service and had also worked construction.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a purple heart recipient and a life-member of VFW Post 6904. He is survived by niece Dixie (Jim) Weir of Ingalls; special friend and caregiver Chris Holland; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by wives, Esther (Hedrick) (Dowden) Kingery in 1978 and Fern (Hedrick) Kingery in 2007; brothers, Emerson, Paul, Irvin, Cecil and Lewis; sisters: Almeda Whiteside, Bertha Brandom, Mearul Davis, Ruth Revis and Effie Sigmond.
