Fred C. Welsch, age 70, of Milford, died Saturday, February 9, 2008, in Connecticut Hospice Branford. He was the beloved husband of Constance A. Dralus Welsch of 50 years. Mr. Welsch was the son of the late Frederick W. and Jeanne Hess Welsch, he was born July 11, 1937, in Jamaica, NY. He was a graduate of Hofstra University and was a member of Upsilon Gamma Alpha Fraternity (UGA). His life’s work was in security/ private investigation for both public and private companies. He was a special agent for Interpol Association, Governors Arson Task Force under Ella Grasso and a member of the National Association of Chiefs of Police, as CT State Vice President from 1981 to 1990 and the American Society of Industrial Security. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Frederick C. Welsch II and his wife Louise of Bedford, NH., Mary Elizabeth Noel and husband Ralph of Seymour, Gloria Ptach and husband Joseph of Milford , Victoria Gaughan and husband Donald of Milford, and Andrea Overkamp and husband Alexander of Seymour, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
