Fred A. Kays, 60, of Virginia, IL died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Walker Nursing Home in Virginia.
He was born August 12, 1949 in Beardstown, IL; the son of Joseph and Coila Knippenberg Kays.
He is survived by his mother of Beardstown; two sons, Matthew Kays (wife, Elizabeth) of Ashland and Sam Kays (wife, Brandel) of Chandlerville; a daughter, Heather Barrera (husband, Ferman) of Virginia; eleven grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Kays of Beardstown. He was preceded in death by his father.
A graduate of Beardstown High School, Mr. Kays was formerly employed as a meatcutter at Oscar Meyer in Beardstown.
