“Priest” was born on April 4, 1957 to Ella Mary Taylor.  He departed this earthly life on Wednesday September 20, 2017 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

He was a 1975 graduate of Decatur High School and attended Calhoun Community College where he played on the basketball team.  He joined the National Guard and served his country from 1989-1994.

He confessed his life to Christ at an early age and became a member of Shiloh M. B. Church where he faithfully served on the deacon board and worked with the youth department.        

Priest was a very loving person who cared about people and loved to make them laugh. He was a man of great determination, motivation and encouragement to others as God changed his life. He was a man that turned his life around with a focus on Jesus Christ and never turned back.

Priest was employed by National Packing and Lifeway Systems of Decatur, AL.  He was a hard-working man that held two full-time jobs to provide for his family.

 Priest was preceded in death by his mom Ella Mary Taylor and his brother, Dennis (Spoon) Taylor.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife of over 40 years,  Linda Taylor; three caring children,  Mondee Taylor and Crystal Taylor; and son;,Renardo Aldridge all of Decatur;  two compassionate sisters, Mary Jennette Jones and Sarah Shackelford ( Coynis) both of Decatur; three kind brothers, Eddie Taylor (Vicki); Ronald Taylor and  David Taylor (Evelyn) all of Decatur, AL, six loving grandchildren; Malique Elliott, JoniaTaylor, Harry Malone III, Quinton Pryor, Renardo Aldridge II and Kailee Aldridge; a devoted life-long friend and mentor, Deacon James Baker and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
