Franklin Junior Cole, 68, of Kingwood passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born December 17, 1952, in Oakland, MD a son of Grover Franklin and Nina Alice Christopher Cole.

He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. Franklin worked as a coal miner for 29 years at Island Creek and Consol Coal Company and for Sheidow Bronze for 8 years. He loved watching WVU games and Nascar racing, working with wood and enjoyed hunting and riding his 4wheeler with his granddaughter, Kiley. He was a long-time member of the Fraternal order of Eagles Club in Kingwood.

He is survived by his two sons, Shelby Cole and Richard Cole his companion, Jasmine Eckenroad,  all of Masontown; his daughter, Sherry Seymour and companion, Buddy Roy of Reedsville; three brothers, Terry Cole and wife, Linda of Tunnelton, Willard Cole and wife, Ruby of  Thornton and Larry Cole of Morgantown; four sisters, Judy Haskiell and husband, Joe of Tunnelton, Connie Morris and husband, Don of Newburg, Alice Hunt and husband, Ron of Grafton and Katherine Harrison and husband, Ron of Kingwood, a sister in-law, Beverly Cole ;  five grandchildren, Marandia Taylor-Moats and husband, Damien, C J LaRue, Hayden Cole and Kiley Cole, Devyn Knotts; two great grandchildren, Bradley LaRue and Emmalee Moats and several nieces and nephews.
  
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Cole and a niece, Michelle Bolyard.
