Franklin James, 75, of 235 Dixwell Ave., New Haven passed away there on Feb. 23, 2011. A former resident of 44 Orange St., he was the husband of the late Cecelia R. Treadwell James. He was born in Wilmington, N.C.May 23, 1935. Prior to coming to New Haven, he worked at WalterReedArmyHospital in Washington and the U.S. Mint. He also served in the US Army. One of ten brothers and sisters, he is survived by a brother, George James of Wilmington, N.C.; a sister, Queenie Harrison of Cincinnati, OH.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
