Franklin D. Gump, age 84 of Lost Creek, WV passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the JW Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born May 15, 1933 in Mt. Clare, WV; the son of the late Guy Stanley Gump and Lora Virginia (Ice) Gump.
Franklin is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda (Sumpter) Gump of Lost Creek, WV; a daughter, Debra Jordan & her husband, Jerry of Virginia; a son, Frank Gump & his wife, Natasha of Florida; seven step-children, Thomas Goldsmith of Hampton, VA, Darrell & Kathy Goldsmith of Lost Creek, WV, Rick & Vicky Goldsmith of Lost Creek, WV, David & Donna Goldsmith of Bridgeport, WV, Tim & Julie Goldsmith of Salem, WV Barb & Bob Wilt of Good Hope, WV and Gary Goldsmith & Eddie Tomlin of Richmond, VA; his dog, Ginger and his cat, Luna; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Bonnel; two sisters, Mary Hickman and Alma Jones.
