Franklin A. Vasos, Sr., affectionately known as “Father Frank”, 86, passed away September 29, 2011 at home in Scottsdale, Arizona with his loving wife by his side. He had a long battle with cancer as well as a recently diagnosed heart condition. He was born August 15, 1925 in New York City to Greek and Swiss-German immigrant parents Anthony Vasos and Emilie (Dorrwachter) Vasos. The Vasos name is derived from its original Greek version Vasilopoulos. After high school graduation in NYC, Frank enlisted in the U.S.
