Frankie LaVaughn Cooper, 100, of Clarksburg and Parkersburg, West Virginia, departed this life on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at River Oaks Nursing Home in Clarksburg. She was born on June 10th, 1915 in Gilmer County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Chester D. and Mission B. Cooper.

Frankie is survived by her brother, John R. Cooper & his wife, Loretta of Clarksburg; five nieces, Brenda Olsen, Karen Phelan, and Donna (Robert) Hughes, all of Clarksburg, Sandra (Marshall) Pittman, and Rene (Bruce) Edwards; a nephew, Scott (Neal) Auger, all of North Carolina; and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Mary M. Dertouzos and Margaret D. Auger

Ms. Cooper enjoyed traveling, her extended family and friends, and she loved cooking.
Ms. Cooper was employed with the Washington, DC Postal Office and later retired from the Justice Department in Washington, DC, where her supervisor was Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy.

She was a member of the Parkersburg Baptist Church, Parkersburg, West Virginia.
