Frankie Jane Love, September 26, 1928 – May 31, 2014.
Mrs. Love died Saturday, May 31, 2014, at her home. Mrs. Love was born September 26, 1928 in Salado, the daughter of George Thomas Curb and Annie Delzie (Jackson) Curb. She married Clyde Clinton Love, September 16, 1943, in Belton. The couple lived in Central Texas until they made their home in Southern California in 1955. Mrs. Love was a seamstress. She made dresses and other garments in the back of her store, Miss Hollywood Style, in Wilmington, California. While in California Frankie and Clyde helped many people.
They hosted over 60 people in their home that might need help in one way or another, either by sharing meal or having a place to stay until they were on their feet again. Frankie was a true optimist. The Love’s enjoy singing. They sang for churches, sang in homes and hosted singing’s in their own home. They attended many Bluegrass Festivals. Music was a large part of their lives. After 37 years in California they retired and moved back to Texas. They were members of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Belton.
Mrs. Love was preceded in death my one son, Ronnie Love and two grandchildren, Abigail Sheffield and Ryan Arkenberg. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Clyde Clinton Love of Gatesville; three sons Roger Love and wife Linda of Holland, Dale Love and wife Pat of Carlsbad, New Mexico and Lee Love of Gatesville; two daughters Jane Sheffield of Belton and B. J. Arkenberg and husband Bob of Paradise, California; one brother George Curb of Quinlen and two sisters Lois Love of Belton and Emma Jean Cain of Palestine; 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.
