                                                                                                            Frankie Dwain Dobbs

Born July 29, 1953, in Dumas, Texas, Frankie passed away October 8, 2021, at his home in Hobbs, New Mexico.  Frankie, a longtime resident attended school in Hobbs, NM, served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran.

At the time of his death, he was the retired owner of a local welding service; he also was a rancher that enjoyed tending to his horses and cattle.  He Loved his dog Bell who went most places with Frankie in the bed of his truck.

Among his many life experiences he drove cattle trucks, was a horse wrangler for packing & camping operation in California. He also worked on ranches and trained horses in Oklahoma.  He owned an ice distribution company in Visa, Oklahoma, was a landlord with many rentals, was a welder by trade and built fences for his life-long friend, Tom Jones .  An award-winning team roper and “Storyteller” who loved to make people laugh, Frankie loved people and they loved him; he will be dearly missed by many.  Most of all he was a God fearing man who loved his neighbors as he did himself.

 He was preceded in death by parents Dwain and Virginia Dobbs, 2 brothers Gary and Rocky Dobbs.
