Frank W. Ready, of Destin, Florida, has been miraculously cured of diabetes and heart disease, and is now feeling fine. In heaven, such things are not permitted.

Born in Philadelphia, Frank passed away in his home on Tuesday, January 28, at the age of 70. Preceding him into eternity was his father, Frank Wolf, mother, Chris Ready and step- father, James M. Ready.

He was greatly loved by his wife of 48 years, Mary, and his two sons James and Frank Ready. He returned that love to them in abundance along with his daughter-in-law Elise Ready and little granddaughter Catie Bug (also known as Catherine Mary Ready). He even loved his favorite mother-in-law Helen Cherry whom he delighted in teasing.

His circle of loved ones includes his sister, Barbara Majors and her husband, Roy; his sister Debra Day; his brother, Charlie Wolf, and step mother, June Wolf. He was very proud of his two Romanian “daughters” Nicoleta Van Dyke and Amalia Cotoc. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many, many friends complete the circle.

Frank was an active man of varied interests, boat captain, high school guidance counselor, accountant, Scuba diver, and Coast Guard auxiliarist. He loved anything that floated or had wheels, especially fishing boats, motorcycles, ATV’s, and motor homes. While his health permitted, he enjoyed life to the fullest and was always up for a new adventure.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21)
