Frank Skeens, age 84, formerly of Clearfield, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.
Born July 26, 1937, in Killarney, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Ira and Lula Akers Skeens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Virgil Skeens, Elmer Lee Skeens, Billy Junior Skeens (and his wife Betty) and two sisters, Carol June Skeens and Norma Jean Skeens Lambert.
Frank is survived by a nephew, Mike Skeens and wife Debbie of Beckley, West Virginia; two great-nephews, Chris Skeens and wife Angie of Basin, West Virginia, and Chad Skeens and wife Amy of Pax, West Virginia; three great-great nephews; two great-great nieces; one great-great-great niece; one great-great-great nephew; one brother-in-law, J. M. Lambert of Clearfield and his son, James A. Horton of Hillsboro.
Frank was a devoted member of his family and spent many years helping care for his mother. He enjoyed writing music, playing the guitar, and singing.
