Frank John Rumore, age 88, of Birmingham, passed away November 11, 2013. He was born July 25, 1925 to Jake and Santa Rumore. He was a WWII veteran serving aboard multiple aircraft carriers in the Pacific Theater. After completing an around the world cruise aboard the USS Saipan in 1955, he was stationed at Cherry Point, NC. Mr. Rumore retired from the Marine Corps in 1963 with 20 years of service. He brought that same dedication of service to everything he ever did. He was a member of St. Marks the Evangelist Catholic Church. Mr. Rumore is preceded in death by his parents Jake and Santa Rumore, grandparents Joseph Rumore and Bernardo Oddo, sisters Verna, Lillian, and Rose, brothers Ross, Ben, Joe, and Tom.
