Frank Peter Morlock, 93
West Sand Lake – Frank Peter Morlock, 93, of Shaver Road died Wednesday September 24, 2008 at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Albany he was son of the late Peter Morlock and Margaret (Reis) Morlock and husband of Ruth (Walker) Morlock.
He was raised in Albany, married in 1937 and resided in Watervliet and later East Poestenkill, before moving to West Sand Lake in 1954. He was a graduate of Our Lady of Angels School in Albany.
Mr. Morlock was a supervisor of the maintenance department at Alleghany Ludlum Steel in Watervliet for 33 years retiring in 1970. He later worked as a bus driver for Rensselaer County Board of Cooperative Educational Services for 10 years.
He was active in the Sand Lake Senior Citizens and a longtime active member of the Salem United Methodist Church in West Sand Lake.
Survivors in addition to his wife include three daughters, Judith Morlock of Averill Park, Joanne (Lawrence) Herzog of Averill Park and Jill (Arthur) Spierre of Chestertown Loon Lake; a son-in-law, Richard Guilbault of East Poestenkill; a family friend, Donna Reed of Averill Park; his grandchildren, Richard and Kris Guilbault, Matthew and Kristin Guilbault, Jon A. and Tracy Guilbault and Jennifer Guilbault and John and Louise Spierre, Jeffrey Spierre, Kimberly and Derek Ross and Susan Spierre; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Marie Richburg of Albany; sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Dorothy Walker of Rensselaer, Lorraine Walker of LaCrosse, WI and Wendell and Rebecca Walker of Troy and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Jeanne Guilbault; three sisters, Helen Decker, Sophie Kerrigan and Mildred Monforte and two brothers, Joseph and Thomas Morlock.
