Frank Merklin Sr., 81, of Bethlehem died on April 2, 2012 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg.
Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Marjk and Mary (Bonjnecz) Merklin.
He worked for Bethlehem Steel as an engineer for 40 years before retiring in 1996.
Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman and member of the N.R.A. He was an award winning breeder of Weimaraners.
Surviving: one nephew and two nieces of Bethlehem. He will be lovingly remembered by his two grandchildren, Chris and Alycia. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Cross) Merklin and son, Frank Jr.
