Frank Markle, 86, died Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born February 21, 1935 in Lawler to Levi and Carrie (Roethler) Markle. On May 5, 1956 he married Donna Cook at the Little Brown Church. Frank farmed for many years and was active in the Farm Bureau. In his retirement he did landscaping work for Colby Properties and for his neighbors. Frank enjoyed working in his yard, keeping a well-manicured lawn and flower beds. Memberships include New Hope Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; children: Connie Markle of West Branch, Todd (Cindy) Markle Of Des Moines, Tom Markle of Urbandale, Lynette (Chuck) Enos of Grimes; grandchildren: Rachelle (Joe) Kearney, Rebecca (Kenneth Moore) Grandon, Reuben (Lara Abrams) Grandon, Amanda (Tony) Jorgensen, Joshua (Chelsea) Markle, Sebelia (Allan) Nyhus, Isaac (Ailish) Enos, Kaylyn (Marcus) Tomlonovic; great grandchildren: Jada and Willie Heidelberg, Finley, Hudson, Bowie Markle.
