Frank Louis Dillard entered into eternal rest on November 29, 2012 at home in Decatur, Alabama. He was born December 13, 1948 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Foster Dillard and Julia Mae Ballentine Dillard.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Holy Temple Church of God in Christ. He later joined King’s Memorial United Methodist Church where he served as the church pianist.
He attended the Decatur City Schools. He graduated from Lakeside High School in 1967 where he served as the pianist for the Lakeside High School Chorus. After graduation he matriculated to Alabama A&M University. After leaving college he joined the U. S. Army where he served twenty-one years before retiring.
Frank moved back to Decatur and worked as a security guard for the Monsanto Company for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gene Lanier and Frank Lanier.
Frank leaves to cherish his memory: two sisters, Elnora Griffin and Carmella (Willie) Ward of Decatur; sister-in-law, Pauline Turner Lanier of Decatur; a special devoted niece, Belinda Griffin, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
