Frank “Franciszek” Jasiel, 90, passed away June 30, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Poland, he was the son of the late Witold and Jozefa Jasiel. He immigrated to the United States and was an Indian Orchard resident for over 50 years.

A proud veteran of the Polish Army, he served for 8 years during World War II and was injured in the Battle of Monte Cassino.  Frank worked many years for Milton Bradley and American Saw until his retirement. He was devoted to his grandchildren and loved to garden, take trips to Hampton Beach, go for country rides and go fishing.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers and sisters. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years Zofia (Warunek) Jasiel; son Richard Jasiel; son John Jasiel and his wife Alicja; grandchildren Joshua, Brendon, Michelle and Nicholas Jasiel; as well as many nephews and nieces in Poland.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Life Care Center of Wilbraham and Baystate VNA & Hospice for their compassionate care during Frank’s last days.

Family and friends will assemble Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
