Frank James Lawniczak, 57, of Hudson, formerly Peru, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Frank was born on December 30, 1958 in Peru to Francis and Beverly (Hill) Lawniczak. He married Marsha Watson on March 8, 1986 in Ottawa, IL.
Frank was an employee of the Illinois Valley Community Hospital for over 25 years before opening Hear-n-Their Records in LaSalle, which operated from 1987 to 2000. He held an associate degree in Construction Technology from Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Lexington, KY; he subsequently taught woodworking in the Construction Technology program.
Frank was a skilled artisan who worked with wood his entire life, including designing and fabricating inlaid wood floors and furniture.
He is survived by his wife Dr. Marsha Watson of Hudson; two sisters, Laura Dellacecca of Cary, IL and Sally Ann (Stephen) Cataldo of Bandera, TX; three brothers, Stephen (Janet) Lawniczak of Princeton, Peter (Amy Hunter) Lawniczak of Peru and John (Teresa) Lawniczak, Wauconda, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Laura Lou in infancy.
