Frank J Scrbacic age 81, of St. John, IN passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Anne (nee Dobrinich); son Lawrence “Larry” (Mary Ann) of Apex, NC; granddaughters, Julia and Rachel; sister Jeanne (Olen) Sullivan; and sister-in-law, Kay Dobrinich.
Frank served in Naval Reserves 1951-1959. He graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology with a degree in electrical engineering. He worked at various steel mills and ultimately retired from Inland Steel.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus St. John council. He loved gardening and was a former master gardener with Lake County. Frank was an avid woodworker and his favorite masterpieces were the twin beds he handcrafted for his much loved twin granddaughters.
