Obituary of Frank J. Leibinger
Leibinger, Frank of Saginaw Twp., Michigan
Passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 12, 2019. He was 87 years old. Frank Joseph Leibinger was born on November 2, 1931 in Saginaw to the late Joseph J. and Lena A. (Schmidt) Leibinger. Frank graduated from SS. Peter and Paul Catholic High School. He proudly served his country during the Korean War with the United States Navy. Frank then returned to Saginaw and worked as a machinist for General Motors for over 30 years. Frank stole the heart of Patricia A. Mikel and they were married on January 28, 1956; she survives him. Together they raised their family and throughout those years Frank enjoyed coaching baseball, football and hockey. He loved to spend time at his cottage in AuGres where he fished and had many building projects. Frank had a strong faith and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He spent many Sunday afternoons watching the Detroit Lions.
Frank is survived by his wife, Pat; children: Linda Phillips, Robert (Mindy) Leibinger and Michael (Bridget) Leibinger; grandchildren: Josh Phillips, Terese (Matt) Remelts, Joseph, Adam, and Christopher Leibinger, Evan Leibinger, Sarah (Jacob) Ureche and Katie Leibinger; great-grandchildren: Autumn, Mckenna, Lukas, Jon and William.
Frank was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Leibinger; and a brother, James (Shirley) Leibinger.
