Frank J Chloupek, age 81, of Three Oaks, Michigan passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at his home in the presence and comfort of his family.Frank was born October 6, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Frank and Marie (Pokorny) Chloupek.He married Trilby Chvatal on June 28, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois.
Frank is a graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology and received his Doctorate of Chemistry at Michigan State University. He did post-doctoral research at Purdue University. Frank had a long career in the oil and gas industry starting with Sinclair and Atlantic Richfield. He also was president and CEO of ALI. Frank was a longtime summer resident of Michigan.
Frank and Trilby built their permanent residence home in Three Oaks, where they enjoyed a happy retirement. Frank will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife Trilby and his son Frank R Chloupek.
