He is survived by his children, Frankie and Reva Hereford and Kim and James McMeans; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; six sisters, Ozene Hereford, Ophelia Thornton, Alta Drake, Cena Wheir, Peggy Hereford and Shirley Patterson; four brothers, Walter Hereford, Donald Hereford, Ricky Hillis and Bobby Hillis.
