Frank Harper Franklin III was born January 24, 1964 to the late Rev. Frank Harper Franklin, Jr., and Revelle Carlisle Metcalf. He departed this life on October 7, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia under the leadership of Pastor Raphael G. Warnick, Ph.d.
Mr. Franklin attained an Electrical Maintenance degree at Calhoun Community College and graduated Magnum Cum Laude. He was employed at Core-Mark International in Smyrna, GA as an Electrician Maintenance Manager.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Benjamin and Gladys Carlise and Mattie Bass.
He leaves to cherish his memory a wife, Latonia R. Franklin, of Atlanta, GA; seven children, Courtney Elliott (Eddie), Diana Franklin, Kasey Shackelford, Adrianne Franklin all of Decatur; Donald Gibbon, Frank Franklin IV and Phillip Franklin (Brenda) all of Decatur; two step-children, Lakieria Kirtz and Danny Kirtz Jr., of Atlanta, GA; his mother, Revelle Metcalf; two brothers, Rev Patrick Franklin (Delorice) and George Franklin; one sister, Revelle Thatch (Marvin); six aunts, six uncles, one great aunt, a step-mother, Barbra Franklin, Athens, AL, three special cousins, Felicia Sykes, Juarlesa Williams and Cater Franklin,
