Francis “Frank” Edward Fairchild, II, 56, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Frank was born on March 11, 1966 in South Bend, Indiana to Donald E., Sr. and Judith Ann (Smead) Fairchild. Frank was preceded in death by his father, Donald, Sr., one sister, Tracy Fairchild Franks, two brothers, Mike and Thomas Henderson. On March 25, 1990 he married Juanita Haden who survives. Frank is also survived by one son, Talon James (Chelsey) Fairchild of Mishawaka, Indiana, one grandchild, Connor Fairchild, his mother, Judith (Maynard) Tamlyn of Elkhart, Indiana, two sisters, Lynn Fairchild Hartzke of Niles, Michigan, Debbie Dougall of Elkhart, Indiana, six brothers, James (Kathryn) Henderson of New Carlisle, Indiana, John (Marilyn) Henderson of South Bend, Indiana, Charles Henderson of Milan, Michigan, Scott (Joyce) Fairchild of Mishawaka, Indiana, Donald Fairchild, Jr. of Elkhart, Indiana, Kent (Dawn) Waggoner of Ossian, Indiana, one step-brother, Todd (Cynthia) Tamlyn of Lake Stevens, Washington, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Frank’s first love was racing from the time he was a very small boy until the time he met Nita. When they were married and had a son, that was his first thing in life that he took care of before anything else, then came his dogs. He had dogs that were like family to him, he named them all and the last one he had was named Charlie. His dog Charlie misses him a lot. Frank helped a lot of other people out. He especially enjoyed helping people build cars. Even more than winning he just liked to be around racing. He loved to help his brother, nephew and other people out while they were racing. He also enjoyed playing in local bands when taking breaks in between his racing.
