Frank Donald Knox, Jr. 78, of Ottawa passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa. Frank was born on July 28, 1941, in Ottawa, to Frank Donald and Clarabelle (Brothers) Knox. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Frank married Cathy Smith on July 27, 1973 in Ottawa. He was a former member of the Ottawa Lion’s Club. He is survived by his wife, Cathy, 4 children, Frank Donald (Kim) Knox, III, of Peru, Sherri Knox of Ottawa, Angela Wiechman, of Ottawa, and Shannon (Perry) May, of LaSalle, 8 grandchildren, Abbie May, Samantha May, Karli Knox, Amber Knox, Reese Wiechman, Avery Wiechman, Justin O’Beirne, and Tyler Knox, a great grandson, Dillinger Blakley, and a sister Lounetta (Richard) Ceja, of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Butch Frig, and a sister Carol Wheeler.
