Frank D. Ashby, 79, of Anderson, passed away on November 25, 2019 at his residence. He was born on October 19, 1940 in Anderson, where he resided all of his life. Frank graduated from Madison Heights High School, and served his country in the Army Reserves. He retired as a Master Mechanic at the City Garage for the City of Anderson. He was a member of Eastside House of Prayer.
He enjoyed going to garage sales, fishing, watching NASCAR, especially Mark Martin. He loved his church, and singing while he was there,even singing up until his last days. Most of all he loved to spend time with his beloved wife Tina. Frank was a hard worker all of his life, always saying that his job at Geeting’s Small Engine Repair was his hardest, but the most enjoyable of his career.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Tina Ashby; children, Lori (Kip) Pesavento, Scott Ashby; grandchildren, Brooke (Kevin) Hartman, Jami Shirley, Brent (Breanna) Graham; great-grandchildren, Braden, Austin, Arielle, Braden, Wyatt, Grayson, Sawyer; special friends, Chuck Riddle, Clayton Lunsford, Steve Goodrick, and Paul May. He was preceded in death by his son, Frankie Lee Ashby; brother, Jerry Lee Ashby; mother, Juanita Ashby; and his father, Frank Ashby.
